Pokémon and Beats launch Pikachu and Mimikyu special-edition speaker

A Pokémon design arrives on the Beats Pill

Beats and The Pokémon Company International have announced a special-edition Beats Pill built around Pikachu and Mimikyu. The portable speaker uses bright yellow and grayscale styling across its exterior, with both Pokémon featured on the grille. The collaboration was announced on 13 October and goes on sale in the UK on 15 October.

The bundled accessories include a removable carry lanyard with a Poké Ball charm and a set of special-edition Beats x Pokémon stickers. Beats says this is the first Pill model it has released with charms. The product is a licensed merchandise collaboration rather than a Pokémon TCG release, but it arrives during the brand’s 30th-anniversary year and may interest fans who collect beyond cards.

UK sale time and listed retailers

Beats’ UK product page lists the launch for 16:00 BST on Thursday, 15 October, through Apple’s UK store and Argos. The press release lists a price of $149.99 for the US launch but does not state a UK price, so British buyers should check the live retailer listings for local pricing and stock. Availability through the named retailers does not guarantee that every location will carry inventory.

For hardware details, Beats lists up to 24 hours of battery life and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. Those are manufacturer specifications; the company notes that water and dust resistance can diminish with normal wear. The speaker supports USB-C charging and can charge a compatible phone using the included cable.

What collectors should know

The announcement is focused on the speaker’s design, launch and accessories. It does not announce a trading card, a card-game promotion or a Pokémon Center exclusive. Collectors interested in the collaboration should compare the UK retailer pages directly for price and availability, while TCG players can treat it as character merchandise rather than a change to the 30th Celebration product line.
