One word changes which cards count

KONAMI has updated its North American replacement notice for Theorealize Past Lull from Chaos Origins. The printed English effect says to control an Artmage, DoomZ or Elfnote monster; KONAMI says “monster” should be “card.” That distinction matters because the corrected condition includes qualifying Spell and Trap cards as well as monsters.

The official card database now shows the corrected wording. Players checking an affected copy should compare the text with the database entry and use the regional replacement instructions, since the remedy depends on where the cards are being exchanged.

The updated US offer is not the UK process

KONAMI’s 28 September notice describes the KDE-US process: an eligible English, Spanish or Portuguese affected card can be exchanged for two corrected cards of the same rarity. The physical affected card must be presented. The notice names upcoming North American Tier 3 events and a customer-support route for players without access to those events; it also identifies the North America WCQ 2027 as the last stated event opportunity under that US programme.

That policy is specific to KDE-US. KONAMI Europe had already published separate guidance on 23 July covering English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and AE versions. The European notice directs customers to KONAMI Europe support or eligible Tier 3 events in the region before the end of 2026. UK players should follow that European guidance and confirm the current submission requirements with KONAMI Europe, rather than sending a card through the US route.

What players should check

Keep the affected physical card until KONAMI confirms how it should be submitted. Check its language and rarity, then use the official notice for the relevant territory before posting anything or travelling to an event. The one-for-two exchange applies to the US process described in the latest notice; the European announcement sets its own regional procedure.

This is a correction to one card’s printed effect, not a broader rules or ban announcement. Deck builders should use the current database text while arranging any replacement.
